Come along to the annual Djerriwarrh Festival

Published on 09 November 2017

The 2017 Djerriwarrh Festival is almost here, and the jam-packed line-up of activities promises something for everyone.

Each year, thousands of people join in this day of free family fun organised by Melton City Council.

An estimated 35,000 people will attend the activities at Melton Recreation Reserve, on 18 November.

The festivities will kick off at 11am with the annual street parade along High Street. This year’s theme is ‘I belong. A celebration of community’.

For the first time this year, the festival will feature environment expo Sustainable Lane. This aims to teach people about how to make their homes and lifestyles more sustainable.

Other main attractions include the Djerriwarrh Festival bonfire, market stall village, pet expo, an international food offering, Lion’s Club Carnival and an incredible fireworks display to cap off the day.

The huge live music line-up on the main stage will conclude with headline act Antipodean Rock Collective, which features members from legendary Australian bands Jet, Spiderbait, Powderfinger, You Am I, and The Wrights.
