Celebrate Christmas with the City of Melton Carols by Candlelight

Published on 02 December 2021

The City of Melton Carols by Candlelight virtual concert is coming to homes across the municipality this month!

Melton City Council will livestream a free and full spectacle online from 7pm on Thursday 16 December.

Santa and Mrs Claus have promised to attend, and a full orchestra, choir, and talented singers will perform your favourite carols.

Councillors, community groups, faith groups, and even our friends at the Dingo Discovery Centre will be there virtually to share their Christmas wishes, making this a truly inclusive community Carols event.

Two personal Zoom calls with Santa will also be up for grabs as part of an exciting competition that will run throughout the Carols concert. To enter, download or register for your free Christmas Activity Book and complete the quiz during the event. It’s your chance to win a special call, all the way from the North Pole!

City of Melton Mayor Cr Goran Kesic said the event was a great way for local residents to welcome the festive season.

“We’ve prepared a spectacular show that truly celebrates the magic and meaning of Christmas, and I’m excited for local families to watch the concert,” Cr Kesic said.

“Carols by Candlelight is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate a very special time of year with our whole community.

“We are doing things a little differently this year, and I encourage you all to bring your best signing voices to this online event and join in the fun with your family, friends, and neighbours.”
