Job Advocates
We're pleased to be partnering with the Victorian Government on the Jobs Victoria, Jobs Advocates program.
The Job Advocates program is a free initial one-on-one support to City of Melton residents who need help finding work or who are struggling with the impact of unemployment or underemployment to refer them to the information, agencies, and any guidance and additional support they may need.
Our Job Advocates will support and help jobseekers navigate the wide range of employment and education services that are available in their local area, and ensure each person is referred to the right service that caters to their needs.
Who is eligible?
The program is available to anyone who is a City of Melton resident and feels they need support.
The program may be particularly helpful for:
- Young people and students who are unsure of their future options
- People with little or no previous work experience
- People returning to the workforce
- People who are returning to work after time off
- People who have not previously worked in Australia
- People with specific requirements
