| Media Release - 4 November 2009 | | Melton Shire Council has recently undertaken a review of its Occasional Care Program in response to the high demand for this important service by the community.
The Mayor of Melton Shire Council, Cr Renata Cugliari said that as an outcome of this review, Melton Shire Council has dedicated additional funding to enable the service to grow from providing nine sessions per week to 14 sessions per week.

| Occasional Care is a centre based childcare program, which offers sessions where children aged 0 - 6 years can enjoy a variety of play experiences in a caring, safe and nurturing environment, whilst parents / guardians have time for other activities.
Occasional Care is accessed through booking with the program, which allows children to attend the program for up to 10 hours per week.
