| Melton Shire Council received $500,000 from the State Government’s Victorian Community Support Grants program towards delivery of the facility.
Melton Shire Council Mayor, Cr Renata Cugliari, said the Arnolds Creek Community Hub would help meet the growing need for community facilities in the Shire of Melton.
“The Arnolds Creek Community Hub will become a central point for the community to plan and access a range of quality community services delivered by Council and other community agencies,” the Mayor said.
“When complete, the Arnold’s Creek Community Hub will provide Maternal and Child Health services and up to 160 four-year-old Kindergarten places for our growing community.”
“The Hub has been planned to cope with current and future demand for community services and will address the shortage of space for community purposes,” Cr Cugliari said.
The Arnolds Creek Community Hub will be built using energy efficient design principles.
The Arnolds Creek Community Hub will form part of a larger community focal point in the Arnolds Creek estate, which will contain community space and facilities, open space areas and convenience retail stores.
