Guidelines

This program aims to provide financial assistance to community requests for support that cannot be provided through the Council's Community Grants Program and is designed to promote the City of Melton as an active, vibrant and healthy community fostering the achievement of residents.

There are two funding streams under the Community Assistance and Sponsorship Program:

• Resident Achievement grants
• Community Contribution, Commercial Partnership and Sponsorship grants

Resident Achievement grants are monthly grants that actively support individual residents participating in leisure and cultural activities at a higher level. The following funding amounts are available under this category.

• international event up to $750
• interstate event up to $500
• State or regional event up to $250

Community Contribution, Commercial Partnership and Sponsorship grants are monthly grants that help promote a strong and involved community by supporting the delivery of successful local events, projects and activities focusing on one or more of Council’s strategic objectives. Groups can only apply for this funding if they are not eligible to receive funding through Council’s Community Grants Program.
