Keep Victoria Beautiful - Sustainable Cities Awards

The Keep Victoria Beautiful awards are open to local government, utilities, businesses, community groups and individuals. Each year Melton City Council nominates a range of programs and activities for entry. For more information contact Council's Environmental Services Department on 9747 7200.

  • Melton City Council Bridge Road Children’s and Community Centre(PDF, 4MB) - winner - Environmental Sustainability Award
  • Melton City Council and Friends of the Melton Botanic Garden(PDF, 4MB) -winner-  Resource Recovery and Waste Management Award. Using recycled green waste to grow Southern African plants at the Melton Botanic Garden.
  • Tony Herwerth(PDF, 4MB) (Senior Land Management Officer Melton City Council) - winner- Dame Phyllis Frost Award.
  • Friends of Toolern Creek - high commendation- Clean Waterways Award. Recognising ten years of litter removal, weeding and replanting work at Toolern Creek.
