Local laws
Property, parking, and other general laws
The General Local Law provides for peace, order and good governance for Melton City Council. Authorised officers may issue infringement notices for any breaches to the General Local Law.
Local Laws Officers can not advise on disputes between neighbours over matters such as boundary fences and overhanging trees/shrubs.
Contact the Victorian Dispute Settlement Centre on 1800 658 528 for free advice and mediation services to assist with neighbourhood disputes.
