Council facilities Opening Hours over the Christmas/New Year Period 2009

Thursday 24 December   All Offices close at 12.00 noon    
Friday 25 December   All offices closed (Public Holiday)    
Saturday 26 December   Libraries closed    
Sunday 27 December   Libraries closed    
Monday 28 December   All offices closed (Public Holiday)    
Tuesday 29 December   All offices open    
Wednesday 30 December   All offices open    
Thursday 31 December   All offices open    
Friday 1 January   All offices closed (Public Holiday)    
Saturday 2 January   Normal weekend services resume (libraries etc).    
Monday 4 January   Resume normal operations    

Note: “All Offices” includes Civic Centre, Caroline Springs Civic Library, Youth Centre, Aged Precinct, Melton Library, Operations Centre, Community Centres, and Maternal and Child Health Centres.


There are two civic centres in the Shire of Melton, both of which are staffed with Customer Service Officers who will provide you with
the highest standard of personalised services. If you require a Council service or wish to make an enquiry
regarding Council services and facilities, call, email or visit us at:

please note: cashier service ends 15 minutes before closing

For after hours non-urgent messages please phone 9747 7200 and leave a message.
A customer service officer will contact you on the next business day.

For all emergencies please follow the prompts on the after hours number.

The Customer Service Unit can help you:
 Make payments for Council services (8.30 am - 4.45 pm)
 Register your animals
 Complete permit forms
 Place orders for waste bins
 Get rates information
 and more
 

Information is in English. An Interpreter service is available through Council's Customer Service Unit.

If you contact us by mail, e-mail or fax we will pass your request on to the appropriate department
and have an officer contact you within five working days.

Complaints Procedures
We are committed to resolving your concerns.
If you feel you have not been provided with the service you expect you can lodge a complaint with the Council.
An officer will be personally responsible for handling your complaint and you will be advised of their details.
