Dry Stone Walls Driving Trail
The City of Melton is home to some of the best and rarest examples of dry stone walls in Australia. This trail allows the public to experience and enjoy this important link to our history. A brochure detailing the driving trail is available from the Melton Visitor Information Centre.

The Eynesbury Heritage Trail celebrates and interprets the heritage of this unique place. The magnificently restored homestead established in 1842 is a feature of two inter-connecting trails for you to explore.
Melton Township Heritage Trail
On this self-guided walking trail you will be taken on a journey through more than 150 years of European History. You will explore Melton’s heritage streetscapes and learn about the pioneers who shaped the town from its early days.

The Willows Historical Park and Homestead

Situated on the banks of Toolern Creek, The Willows Historical Park accommodates Melton’s oldest homestead, built in the 1850’s.

Melton Botanic Garden
The Melton Botanic Garden currently includes:
- Indigenous re-vegetation along Ryans Creek and around the main lake
- Dryland Eucalyptus Arboretum with Australian understory vegetation

There is seating, BBQ facility, accessible toilets, public car park (Lakewood Boulevard) and walking paths.
The Plant Nursery is located at 21 Williams Street, Melton. The Melton Botanic Gardens public car park is located on Lakewood Boulevard.
Opening hours are Tuesday, Thursday and every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month 10am - 1pm.
