Community Safety Month

Melton City Council is encouraging residents to help build a safer and stronger community by taking part in Community Safety Month events in October.

Community Safety Month helps remind locals that everyone has a role to play in making their community safe.

The campaign shines a spotlight on a number of community safety issues, including crime prevention, personal safety, safe work practices and staying safe during an emergency.

A number of events are being held across the City of Melton next month, including anti-theft screw fittings with Victoria Police, and children’s restraint fittings.

Neighbourhood Houses are also hosting their own events, including first aid training at Hillside Community Centre, and a scam alert information session at Taylors Hill Neighbourhood House.

A course teaching first aid to children between the ages of eight and 12 will also be on offer at Taylors Hill Neighbourhood House.
