Indigenous Employment Policy and Reconciliation Action Plan

Council is committed to delivering key Indigenous policies that reconfirm its commitment to Reconciliation and lessening the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. 

Now open for feedback are the draft Reconciliation Action Plan, Innovate(PDF, 56KB) and the draft Aboriginal Recruitment and Retention Policy(PDF, 151KB).

From Tuesday 19 September through to Monday 23 October these documents will be available to be publicly viewed at the Melton Library and Learning Hub, the Caroline Spring Library and Learning Hub, Melton Civic Centre and Kirrip Aboriginal Community House.

Community presentation

There will be a public presentation to give policy background on these two policies in more detail as well as other Council policies and strategies around youth, ageing and disability.

Drop in sessions

There are two drop in sessions, where the community can come in and meet the policy writer and provide direct feedback on the two main policies.
