Draft Melton City Council and Wellbeing Plan 2017/2021

Melton City Council has prepared its draft Council and Wellbeing Plan 2017-2021(PDF, 471KB) which is proposed for approval at a meeting of the Council to be held on 26 June 2017.

The document will be available on Council’s website and for inspection during opening hours from 8.30am on Thursday 4 May 2017 until 5pm on Thursday 1 June 2017 at:

·     Melton Civic Centre, 232 High Street, Melton

·     Caroline Springs Civic Centre/Library, 193 Caroline Springs Blvd, Caroline Springs

·     Melton Library and Learning Hub, 31 McKenzie St, Melton

Any person who wishes to make a written submission on a proposal contained in the draft Council and Wellbeing Plan 2017-2021 must do so before 5pm on Thursday 1 June 2017. Any person who wishes to be heard in support of their written submission must request this in their submission.

Submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive and emailed to submissions@melton.vic.gov.au or posted to PO Box 21 Melton 3337. They will be considered in accordance with section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 at a meeting of the section 223 Submission Committee of the Council commencing at 7pm on Tuesday 6 June 2017 at Council Chambers, Civic Centre, 232 High Street, Melton.

Melton City Council Plan 2013/2017

The Council Plan sets the strategic direction for Council operations over the four year period of the elected Councillors. The Council Plan addresses a range of key issues and capitalises on the range of growing opportunities experienced in our city, by delivering upon a range of strategic objectives or ‘outcomes’, through a variety of targeted strategies and activities.

Each year, in line with the budget process, Council produces an Annual Action Plan that states how Council will work towards achieving its strategic objectives as committed in the Council Plan.
